Srinagar, Oct 06 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has attached the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Baramulla on a circular warning government employees against the misuse of social media
According to an official order, a copy of which is in possession of the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the School Education Department has attached the CEO, Baramulla.
“Pending inquiry, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Shah, in-charge Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, is hereby attached to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir with immediate effect. Further, the Chief Education Officer, Bandipora, shall hold the charge of the post of Chief Education Officer, Baramulla, and Principal DIET till further orders,” reads the order issued by the Secretary, School Education Department.
Citing circular instructions issued by the government in 2023 and 2017, the CEO had directed employees of the School Education Department, Baramulla, to strictly adhere to guidelines and legal principles, and refrain from indulging in unwarranted debates, discussions, and sharing/commenting/posting inappropriate content on social media platforms to avoid unfavourable circumstances.
The attachment order has been issued under the directions of the Minister for School Education, Sakina Ittoo—(KNO)
